with my own version and view
of
GEORGE WASHINGTON's
LIVING STATUE
This feature photo is truly special as it embraces
a delicate and serious tone - September 11, 2001's tragedy.
As seen below...
while recently performing my "George Washington's Living Statue",
there was a sudden and unexpected
downpour of rain...
Of course, that is nothing compared
to the sudden and unexpected tragedy that
occurred on September 11, 2001.
At first glance of the photo, this thought came to me...
"Rain or shine - America stands tall".
The photo's theme claims rain or shine America stands tall
but in reality,
in either war or peace, America stands tall.
This is my small tribute...
in my own way, the creation and performances
of this character:
First American President - George Washington's
LIVING STATUE
emphasizes the strength and resolve of
the spirit of the people of the United States of America.
In particular, American citizens
have demonstrated great courage and inner strength.
When I first heard about the tragic news in New York,
I was also struck by the amazing and immediately-obvious fact
that at the worst time,
with the dreadful and senseless loss of so many lives,
the positive power of the human spirit found a remarkable way
of going beyond the horrible darkness.
Americans found inspiring and encouraging hope
by kindly reaching out to one another
and indeed, in this manner...
set a positive and heart-warming example to the world.
So in my small little way, this month's feature photo
of George Washington's Living Statue
standing at attention with flag in hand
in a strong downpour of rain
encompasses a metaphor:
that even in the worst of times,
the human spirit carries on...
God bless America
and
may their lost loved ones rest in peace,
and to the surviving people,
may God's presence constantly comfort you...
May we all hope and pray for entire world peace!
