Sir John A. Macdonald's Living Statue

Starting off the New Year 2003,

I can't help but reflect on the first character of my Living Statue Series...

as Sir John A. Macdonald's birthday was January 11, 1815.

The Father of Confederation's Living Statue is special to me for various reasons.

After performing overseas in 1996, constantly and proudly

claiming my "Canadian" heritage and performance abilities,

I returned to my hometown of Hamilton, Ontario

and appreciated the wonderful statues in Hamilton's down-town "Gore Park",

including Sir John A. Macdonald (and Queen Victoria).

This triggered the idea of creating these two living statues.

Since then, I have had the pleasure of performing my mime technique bringing history

alive with this famous Canadian Prime Minister as seen below.

He has been able to touch the lives and communicate well

with various cultures and audiences

in Ontario, as well as across Canada, and throughout the world.

Amish audiences, including the wonderful couple below...
