HIGHLIGHTS
of
Sir John A. Macdonald's
Living Statue:
Canada's Father
of Confederation!
Why choose Sir John A. Macdonald as a character?
Why even create him as a "Living Statue"?
Proudly Canadian and also born in Hamilton, Ontario,
where indeed the first Sir John A. Macdonald Statue was erected
- it is my goal to bring Canadian history and heritage alive
in a positive and "amusing and fun" manner!
This page will be updated with examples of Sir
John A. Macdonald's Living Statue where he is involved in Canadian
tributes, events, functions and with people!

July 1st, 2000
Clearing Sir John A. Macdonald was a humourous
character (see Sir John A. Trivia below!) and yet a very important
part of Canadian history - namely:
Canada's 1st Prime Minister - The Father of Confederation!
On Canada's 133th Birthday - his LIVING STATUE
was presented for the 1st time in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake!
What was said?
The caption:
"To everyone celebrating in Simcoe Park on
Canada Day, Canada's first Prime Minister, Sir John A. Macdonald
(Michael Carl O'Neil)
visited the first capital to celebrate as a living
statue.

"Congratulations to whomever brought the Sir John
A. Macdonald impersonator to the July 1 Canada Day celebrations.
He was superb in both his make-up and presentation. Unfortunately,
he was not given the exposure he deserved. "
