in January 1, 2001's on CITY TV and GLOBE AND MAIL (Toronto page
A13 - Jan 1, 2001) - "ARTICLE: Jollity shakes up the city:
"Queen Victoria - really the mime artist and actor, Michael
O'Neil, was standing on a stool, grandly waving to all comers.
Except when she passed them a lewd wink on the sly. Dressed in
utter black, with a blackened face, Mr. O'Neil said he got the
idea from a statue of the monarch in Hamilton. What would the
statue do if it came ot life? he asked himself. Children and
grownups alike stood transfixed watching him. In profile, he
seemed a dead ringer for the former queen".
