Macdonald's Living Statue and Queen Victoria's Living - First Night Toronto 2001 at Harbourfront, Toronto, Ontario - Pleased to appear in January 1, 2001's on CITY TV and GLOBE AND MAIL (Toronto page A13 - Jan 1, 2001) - "ARTICLE: Jollity shakes up the city: "Queen Victoria - really the mime artist and actor, Michael O'Neil, was standing on a stool, grandly waving to all comers. Except when she passed them a lewd wink on the sly. Dressed in utter black, with a blackened face, Mr. O'Neil said he got the idea from a statue of the monarch in Hamilton. What would the statue do if it came ot life? he asked himself. Children and grownups alike stood transfixed watching him. In profile, he seemed a dead ringer for the former queen".
